OUR BASES SAFAGA

TOWN OF SAFAGA

Safaga is a charming, small town located 56 km south of Hurghada. With its blue skies, sunny weather, tranquility, and stunning reefs, it is an ideal destination not only for diving enthusiasts. The town, situated around 3 km away from several hotels, has managed to preserve its authentic charm and has successfully avoided excessive commercialization. This allows visitors to experience the true essence of Egypt, with its rich culture and Arabic customs. You can observe genuine Egyptian life, visit local bars that are not frequented by tourists, enjoy traditional tea, and take a ride in a local minibus. Everyone can feel safe and secure in Safaga while immersing themselves in its unique atmosphere.

CORAL REEFS OF SAFAGA

Safaga is not as heavily visited by tourists compared to Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, and Dahab. This means that our reefs remain nearly pristine and untouched. Underwater, you will encounter more fish than divers. Safaga’s reefs are considered among the most beautiful in the world and offer numerous extraordinary diving sites. Just a 30-minute boat ride from the shore, you’ll find dive sites teeming with a variety of marine life. Turtles, rays, moray eels, octopuses, flatfish, and even dolphins can be spotted with a bit of luck. Venturing further out to sea beyond the bay, you’ll come across spectacular locations that can rival the best dive spots in the Red Sea. Panorama Reef and Abu Kefan, with their stunning walls and plateaus, the magnificent coral gardens of Middle Reef and Shaab Sheer, or the majestic wrecks of the Salem Express ferry and the El Khafein cargo ship, will captivate even the most discerning diver. To sum it up, Safaga offers everything: shallow and beautiful gardens, monumental walls with rock shelves, and impressive wrecks.
